Oklahoma City Courthouse Elopement | OKC Elopement Photographer

If you are looking to do a courthouse elopement, let’s talk through the options you have. The point of an OKC elopement is ease and authenticity. They’re centered around your love and the marriage itself. One thing to note is that most courthouses don’t actually allow civil ceremonies anymore, but you have a few options based on what fits you best!
Option 1: Oklahoma Courthouse Chapel

This chapel is down the street from the Oklahoma County Courthouse, a two-minute walk, to be exact. So you can go grab your marriage license, walk over to the chapel, and get married on the spot! You do have to make an appointment and pay to reserve the space. This is great if you want ease and don’t have a minister/pastor for your ceremony.
Option 2: Sunday afternoon at the Capitol building
This is my favorite option!

You can rent this space any day of the week, but you can also walk in and get married with just your officiant if you have no guests! No reservation required, at least at the time of this blog post! You would have to bring your own or hire an officiant, but it is one of the most beautiful places to say your vows.

I cannot recommend a weekday mini elopement enough. It’s so special and intimate, and reduces the stress of a big wedding.
